Portfolio Performance

June 2024 was a challenging month for cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin dropped by 7%, and Ethereum fell by over 8%. Altcoins and crypto-related stocks also declined in value, resulting in a 7.10% decrease in my portfolio for June. Despite this setback, my portfolio is still up by 8.72% for the year.

Market Forecast

June 2024 saw a downturn in both Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader crypto market due to several factors:

• Bearish Sentiment: Increased caution among investors due to regulatory concerns and macroeconomic uncertainties.
• Mt. Gox Transfer: The transfer of approximately $9 billion worth of BTC from Mt. Gox’s cold wallet to an unknown address sparked fears of a potential market dump.
• Slowing Inflows of U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs: Reduced inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs affected market confidence.

Historically, Bitcoin has shown strong rebounds in July after a weak June, with an average gain of 7.42% during July trading periods. In the past six years, minimum gains of 28% have been observed in the first few weeks of every July. I remain very bullish on cryptocurrencies for this year and the next, firmly believing that we are still in a bull market that will continue through 2024 and 2025. Portfolio Strategy

In recent months, I have optimized my portfolio, increasing exposure to altcoins and crypto-related stocks to maximize profits during this new crypto bull market. In June, I opened new long positions in Solana, Avalanche, and MicroStrategy, and closed some profitable positions on the Nasdaq.
