Hello, welcome to the October 2022 eToro Portfolio Update.
My name is Vincenzo Stefanini and my eToro username is vincenzost.

In October my portfolio closed in profit at +0.48%.
This is the third consecutive positive month for my portfolio.
We are gradually recovering from the negative performance and I am doing my best to close this year in profit.
The positive side is that I am outperforming Bitcoin and all the other cryptos.
In fact, Bitcoin is down more than 70% this year, so I reduced the drawdown of my portfolio and the risk score.
If your copy is negative, please be patient and keep the copy open for the long term.
Remember that I have made huge gains in the last 2 years, so if you invest in the long term, you have more chances to make a profit.

October has been a positive month overall for both stocks and cryptos.
Ethereum performed much better than Bitcoin, following the merge update.
US stocks also rallied.
This is because investors believe that the FED will start to slow down the interest rate hikes and will pause soon.
However, the inflation in the US is still high, so I think the Federal Reserve will keep increasing the interest rates for some time until inflation will calm down.
Because of this, I remain defensive right now and I am keeping the portfolio risk low.
The next FED meeting is tomorrow, so depending on what happens after the meeting, I might make small changes to my portfolio.

Last month, I have closed all the short positions in profit, mainly on stocks.
So all my positions are now long on both stocks and cryptos.
I have only a position on the VIX to protect against a potential market drop.
Overall the trend on stocks and cryptos remains bearish, however, we could see a rally until the end of the year.
I have plenty of cash available in my balance to use for new trades.

Some conditions might favour a market rally in the upcoming days.
Many investors believe that the FED will start to slow the pace of rate hikes and will pause soon.
Then we have the mid-term elections in the US, which typically is positive for the market.
Also, the last months of the year are historically positive.
The investor sentiment is also flipped bullish.
Everything looks bullish at the moment, which is good for my portfolio.
However, we are not out of the woods yet, we are not in a bull market yet, we are still in a bear market, so I will watch carefully for what the price will do at the next technical resistance levels.
Regardless of what happens to prices, I am expecting to make gains and hopefully, we can close this year in profit.
So, if you are already a copier, remain calm and keep the copy open.
Remember that this is an investment for the long term.

• to keep the risk score to 5 or lower
• protect the capital invested and reduce portfolio drawdown
• to close this year in profit
• increase the assets under management to over $500,000
